Why are the prodaddy people going about support so much?

You should never need support from a domain name registrar. If you have to contact support for whatever reason they are probably doing something wrong.

The only time I needed support at namecheap was when I needed an enom push. They done it for me for free. One time about 2 years ago. Much easier to use interface, no upsale bullshit.

The only time I needed support at dynadot was to get my parking revenue early. I wanted to use it for renewal fees and they done it for me.

Never had to contact support at name.com, or any of the other smaller registrars I've used.

Moniker I never had a problem with really, but I hate their interface aswell.

I had countless problems with godaddy. No mailing problems or whois problems. But things that shouldn't have been a problem.

I bought privacy on one domain, and it is done through some external page (not sure if it still is) And it took forever to get it taken off, just got it off before they charged me $9.99 for it for the next year. (far too expensive)

When I have sold domains at godaddy, the process seems to take 3 times longer than at other registrars. To push/change accounts. They are pretty good at getting domains moved out to other registrars but I guess they get a lot of people doing it

Changing anything on a domain is a pain in the ass.

Bob Parsons is a prick.

TDNAM sucks you have to use an external site to be able to search the listings properly. No such problems at other marketplaces.

Never hosted there, but have seen no end of complaints about that.

If someone buys a domain from me and they move it to godaddy I still get emails about that domain even though I don't own it. This only happens a few times but still annoying.

Don't know about .XXX thing, but that would give me another reason to hate them if true.
