The "holier than thou" generalization is an American created generalization btw. I can attest we do not go around praising we are saints of the world. We've only garnered that generalized label because our gov't chooses to act our military force in peacekeeping duties, not frontline wars.

My only beef with the whole issue is its being treated like some new, never before seen event with many American news outlets cracking jokes like its never happened in their country over a sports game.
