That's not the fault of a program aimed at cutting the budget. That's the fault of the inept govt.
If they had never made up stupid ass drug laws to begin with and ended up with so many people in jail, then the REAL criminals wouldn't have the opportunity for these mistakes to happen.
To me it seems like everything I was taught in school as a child that the evil Soviets and Chinese were doing...WE are doing now!
THEN: Berlin Wall? It should come down! People should be free to travel!
NOW: Mexico? Build a wall! Search cars at the border! And frisk everybody at the airport while you're at it!
THEN: The communists in The Soviet Union, China, and Cuba are imprisoning their citizens on trumped up charges. They must be set free!
NOW: Throw more people in prison than any country in history...and make it mostly over the govt's failed drug war.
THEN: The people of The Soviet Union and China are watched by the govt. and wiretapped and if you suspect your neighbor of harboring "western" ideals you should report him. This can NOT be allowed to happen...these people must be FREE!
NOW: We are watched by the govt., drug tested, frisked at the airport, wire tapped, a search warrant is no longer needed to kick your door in, police can beat your ass and video tape you but if you video them you go to jail, and if you suspect your neighbor of having "muslim" ideals you should report him.
