meh, you want to stand up for your rights, you get arrested. its how life functions everywhere. google noam chomsky. no different in the 70s when ppl protested against the war. no different than the civil rights movement of the 60s. history is a lesson. we are not that far from those time periods.

we still live in a time period where most americans see a book of potentially fictional stories as a guiding way to their life. and if you film popo in the dark, and they ask you to move out of fear of their own safety and you do not oblige, because you think its your right and you think they can't do anything to you, then you get arrested. and guess what, the judge may side with the cops. life isnt fair, i guess its a matter of how much you really want to "stick it to the man" and the price you are willing to pay for it.

it may not be the fairest, but I also wouldn't call this the most ultimate abuse of power or trampling of rights. if you are going to film cops, make sure you do it where you capture them doing something truly fucked up and do it so they cant visually see you, and if they say something - walk away. of course, if you catch them doing something really bad, they may chase you down for the footage in a CYA-type scenario. something like this actually happened recently in LA (where cops actually broke people's cell phones to destroy footage). play it smart.

life isnt fair when ppl have authority. but we have it a bit better here then in other 3rd world countries in south america, russia, asia, etc.
