I got my Nexus fairly recently ... I haven't flown with it, I got it more for driving across the border, but I'm finding for driving it isn't as useful as I thought. Some of the border crossings don't have Nexus lanes so you still end up in the same huge lineups with 20 questions when you get to the guard. As far as the background checks, in my case there isn't much to see anyways ... the interview was mostly basic questions (address, employment, etc.) and warnings about not bringing things across the border without declaring them ... it might be totally different for someone with something on their criminal record or other red flags though. Overall I'd say I'd still go for it again for the times here and there that I can skip the long lines. Maybe someone who has flown with theirs can give their two cents
