Host Gator is by far the shittiest and most incompetent hosting company I have ever dealt with and running a very massive SEO network spread across dozens of hosts, i can tell you i've dealt with most of them, both in adult and not.
You can't just ask their tech support a question. They have levels of tech support... i.e. "Level 1 - "are you sure your computer is turned on... maybe thats why you can't see your own website", level 2 and so on.
You don't just contact them and get a competent person and a competent answer either by live chat or the ticket system. They have to escalate it to a higher level after you bitch and fucking complain about how each level is just another retarded fuckwad until you can finally get competent help to even make the simplest server config changes. That's why you are not getting meaningful answers.
