So a foreigner can come to the US and just start driving from coast to coast going wherever they want. What the hell!!!! How did you get through the police checks and road blocks? Something must have been seriously wrong if you were allowed to roam across the US free as a bird.
(Strangely enough, I had the same experience when I visited.)
