If an out of state business can lower costs to consumers that's great. If it helps put a state in financial trouble because sales taxes aren't being paid then that's a different issue. That's the point I was making.
With the current budget problems all states will soon start this. The sales tax advantage will shortly be a thing of the past.

added ... And it's not just state taxes it's local county taxes as well. As internet sales continue to grow state/county revenue will continue to fall. Nationwide you are looking at billions. The only solution is to raise taxes to shrink the difference or to collect the taxes as intended.
