Yeah, and arresting people for breaking into your house and stealing your stuff could set a
"dangerous precedent" too.
Look...it's pretty cut and dried to me. If you didn't CREATE it, or pay to license it...then you STOLE it. And I think the "dangerous precedent" was set when the first thief on the internet figured out the "user uploaded" loophole to use DMCA against the very people it was designed to protect.
The only "danger" I see about this particular piece of legislation is the "danger" that hard working people might actually stop having their work stolen and their livelihoods taken from them.
