Matter of fact, it proved how out of touch AVN and Ynot was because no legit company is going to buy a well establish company brand on a .XXX. There will be a mad rush to buy Gay.xxx, Pornstar.xxx, Poker.xxx, Tube.xxx generic domains you can't CR/TM.
And this is what get's me with all the tools in here who say fuck XXX etc. Why? because most are following hearsay or they themselves own generic porn/adult.com domains and feel a threat. It has nothing to do with censorship because the legal council of the ICM was head of ACLU and it would defeat the purpose if they were censored because they are a for profit business.
Besides, there are lot's of countries that block porn and I am certain the ICM main focus is to provide an alternative to these countries. Meaning, there primary motive is targeting a new marketed share in countries like the Germany, Australia, etc. and who wouldn't want to tap into that market share?
The only unity you'll get are people/Bro's who got in on porn early and intrenched themselves with great adult.coms who now recognize new opportunities from the vast who did not. Besides, do you honestly think program owners are going to deny traffic/sales from .XXX? - Of course not because they're all fucking whores too.
So if you got into Adult in the last 5 years and wanted to get your share of the pie, now is your chance. Because the louder the industry cries the more it proves there is a opportunity for the new guard to profit.
What get's me is many on this board are crying because porn market is dying due to nothing new hitting the industry. You wanted something new, well you got it and if it challenges your business concept - too fucking bad, welcome to the business world.

Well thought of response. What you say may or may not happen. But the threat of .XXX lobbying to get it the only TLD for all porn sites is real.
That's of course if the sycophants Stuart has around him can stop trying to be the Beta to Stuart's Alpha dog and worked together instead of being a bunch of back stabbing lap dogs.
