And this is where I stand as well. I have lots of respect for people, and I care about people. Thus, I respect their DIFFERENCES, what makes them PEOPLE instead of NUMBERS. Whether it is they're blonde, black, fat, thin, have some illness or special condition, etc. And that respect includes making jokes about them. The same way I do about EVERYBODY else and the same way I accept people making jokes about me.
Putting people in a ghetto of "good will" is discrimination too. And a very special kind, the kind you can't fight against because... well, they're doing it because of their good and warm heart. So yes, now they're discriminated, their special needs aren't recognized and if you try to integrate them you're close to (or worse than) a criminal
