I'm pretty shocked. Even if you choose to believe the defense's version of events; if you find your child, or anyone's child for that matter, face down in a pool and don't call 911 it's criminally negligent homicide.
Maybe it was the error of the prosecution to not make that an option on the verdict form. Makes more sense than giving them the option of manslaughter.
I'm pretty shocked though. I really felt the prosecution made a strong closing.
