Yea, you can get more, but it can be expensive if you have high standards.
I actually pay more to live in Thailand than when I was living in Ohio, USA. Go figure.
Of course I could live like a Thai or a sub-human and save some money, but I don't work hard to live like a poor person. And I don't eat a lot of Thai food so I spend quite a bit on western food.
