Through the current court system she was found innocent of the most serious charges.
Because of the workings of the court system the jury doesn't get to see ALL of the evidence due to effective legal wrangling. Because of this those outside of the jury have much more to work with in forming their own personal opinion. Granted that doesn't make her guilty or innocent in the eyes of the court but it goes a long way in determining her true innocence or guilt.
An extreme example would be something like this.
A security camera on the next door neighbors house actual captures Casey drowning the child in the pool, wrapping duct tape around her head and then placing her in the garbage bags and then placing her in the trunk of the car. This evidence would prove beyond a reasonable doubt.
The defense successfully has the security tape evidence excluded because of a technicality where the neighbor unlawfully filmed the Anthony's property or whatever ( you get the idea ).
The public gets to see the video tape and knows she is in fact guilty. The jury however doesn't and she is acquitted due to lack of evidence. This scenario give the public a better chance to render TRUE guilt or innocence even though it isn't done though our legal system.
