Aleksandr Yakovlev ~ It played no role. None. I can tell you that with the fullest responsibility. Gorbachev and I were ready for changes in our policy regardless of whether the American president was Reagan, or Kennedy, or someone even more liberal. It was clear that our military spending was enormous and we had to reduce it.
The cold war was ending BEFORE Reagan was in office, all he did was spend, spend, spend, exactly like the Russians, creating the exact same problem they had, the only difference was, ours was MUCH larger AND NEVER STOPPED screwing us over MUCH more, and those ideals are what is bankrupting our Country today... He's such a brilliant person to support.

I was in the Navy during the Reagan Administration, don't tell me that BULLSHIT that the cold war was ending before he got in.
He got them spending to keep up, then cut their finances by lowering the price of oil.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that
