It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government?s reckless fiscal policies. Welcome to Washington DC. Nothing has changed. It doesn't matter what party they belong to because both sides do it. It's no longer about what's right or wrong, but instead whomever they are attacking at the moment.
Case in point is Obama with the War Powers Act. The War Powers Act says reads...
Quote:
The War Powers Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30 day withdrawal period, without an authorization of the use of military force or a declaration of war.

It does not say "the President needs approval from Congress".
When Bush was in office Obama said the President does not have the right to engage in military action without approval from Congress, when clearly he did. Now that Obama is office he's changed his tune.
It's no longer about what's right or wrong. Instead, they twist the laws to attack each other. We used to have this concept that you support whomever is in office no matter what unless it's drastic - drastic as in about to be impeached - but now we just bash whomever publically.
