Montreal: McAusland Oatmeal Stout, and McAusland's Blonde. Also, Unibroue does Belgian style beer, Blanche de Chambly, white beer on yeast, and Maudite as well as my favorite, the "Trois Pistoles".
South of the (Canadian) Border: Sam Adams, Blackened Voodoo, and Abita - Rolling Rock gets an honorable mention; the micro-micro brews of the Vermont Pub & Brewery in Burlington change each season but they were they best I tasted coast to coast, even with steak (and that pub's steaks were simply awesome). There was an anchor steam ale in San Francisco and a bloody awesome German lager in Iowa, but I don't remember off the top of my head.
Mexico: dos Equis and Tecate; beer's not their thing it seems and as long as it's light and refreshing... aaah.
:D
