I have season passes set for my few dozen favorite tv shows that I like from dramas, reality shows, comedies, sports (MMA) and documentary series and also watch a lot of movies on HBO, Showtime, Encore and Starz.
If you're getting a free DVR you're lucky because DirecTv normally charges for it. Anyways 100+ channels with 99.99% of the content being crap. I guess if 99.99% crap is worth $1000, $1500 or more per year to you go for it. Ever watch TV at 3 AM? I bet there are more channels with informercials then showing actual programs. That's worth $1000, $1500 a year?

A "few dozen" of your favotire shows? Really. I can't find just a DOZEN shows worth my time on TV.
