regarding your 83% in particular:
> that the percentage of people who were given the song and were convinced to buy a song
how can you know this???? lets say there is person X gave song to person Z, they don't report this to anyone, how do you know they shared something and if person Z bought this song after all or not? hows your 83% account for millions people who you have know idea what they share and what they buy and how you correlate this unknown sharing number with buying numbers?

4. sales can be counted
5. sales /ip count can give you a percentage.
