Well, actually, his choice of who to kill fits in with the political theory he outlines in his manifesto.

The 'kill your own" method is one of the most successful tactics in asymetrical warfare, its basic revolution strategy. Kill the collaborators.

Possibly it will backfire tho - law of unintended consequences.

I'm reminded of War Nerd's recent article comparing IRA tactics to Al Qaeda tactics, and apologizing to the IRA for calling their methods "nerf warfare".

Brecher's model of it was that the IRA managed their unintended consequences and their mind war and econmic war brilliantly - and that Al Qaeda didn't, went for the big showy kills, and 'lost their war' (that part seems premature to me, it's not at all clear that alqaeda is neutralized).
