There has been a progressive trend lately in the number of Americans you see applying for work in Melbourne. Many are unemployable because they have come here on holiday and do not have the necessary visas, or hope of a visa to stay.
Unless they have a skilled background where we have a local shortage of skilled workers, then it's very hard for them to gain any foothold.
