I'm assuming countries submit their own results, which means the rankings are bullshit. Do you really think China posts honest numbers?
I know some group goes around and collects numbers, but even then, you know certain countries feed them false data to make themselves look better.
I'm not saying America has the best education system, but those rankings are probably about as accurate as ratio screenshots posted on GFY.

I had this now dead friend, rather rich fellow. Anyway, when he found he was dying he left for the Philippines to find a wife for his mixed-daughter. About 2 years later he returns with a wonderful lady, used to work for the gov, spoke great English.
Point being... his 2nd grade daughter goes with him, comes back with the 4th grade still going, takes a placement test, and is put into 5th grade when the school year ended. 1 month in 5th grade, they moved her to 7th, then 2 months later to 6th. She was about 1.5 grade levels ahead of our kids, in less than 2 years of schooling.
They teach faster, meaning they learn faster, thus they have time to go over everything more, that's the difference... it's not that they're learning different stuff, they're just learning it faster and better.
