So I was recording with the webcam on this old dell inspiron 1720 and the software crashed leaving me with a 19GB avi file that won't play or open in anything. Whatever the cam software does to finalize the raw data when ending the recording. It never got a chance, so the video is not viewable, no sound no picture, no activity whatsoever.

Some media players say its the wrong format. Others don't say anything, they just sit there and refuse to play the video. I tried everything I could think of to convert or open this file and I am failing miserably.

Please Help.
