#1 do NOT buy an extended warranty yourself. they are all crap. the only good ones (i.e. Guardian) you have to buy through a dealership.
Im in the same boat as you, my Tahoe needs new tires on it and I'm getting kinds sick of it... had it for 2 years. Instead of trading it in, I'm going to sell it private party, you will make a LOT more this way.
I would look into a used 370Z, they are nice but quick cars. Of all the cars Ive had, my favorite was my 06 M45... I really miss that car
