As a true race fan I don't wish for anyone to crash, well maybe Kyle Bush but that's another story. I want to see good, safe, competitive racing. With today's safety measures and equipment a driver can easily walk away from a 200 mph + crash.

Back in the day when they raced without even basic safety equipment like seat belts, roll bars and adequate helmets race car drivers were just one mistake away from losing their life.

Here's a video from a time when race car drivers either had balls of steel or were stupid crazy.
