But fat lazy spoiled brat American union members never wanted to upgrade their skills, they wanted to be paid for "seniority" and for lots of reasons that don't apply to any of us in the private sector. US Government policies make hiring US workers unattractive. So, US companies wisely outsourced. US government policies were more focused on taxing and punishing business --and on handing out money to deadbeats --than on upgrading our work force.
The Looney Left cut their own throat in many ways. They were weak on border security issues, and lots of illegals came in and grabbed their core constituency's low paying low skilled jobs. LOLZ. What a bunch of dopes.
Now with the US economy in the shitter for a confirmed double dip, even the illegals are getting fed up, and many are returning to Mexico and Central America. Progressive policies are even failing the Progressives. But, will that stop them from pulling the Democratic lever in the future? Heck no!
DUH!!

I wondered how long someone would come up with something really stupid.
Outsourcing low paying low skilled jobs, and you keep high paying high skilled jobs. Works fine for a few years. Let Hong Kong make all the crap T-Shirts that US workers used to make, let Japan make all the cheap cars, etc. Then before you know it Hong Kong and Japan are also taking the high paying high skilled jobs.
And then the US bosses thing, "If we move our manufacturing to Mexico, we can cut the wage bill by 75%, OK we'll keep the design and R&D in the US. Until we train some cheap Mexican to do it cheaper." It will be a damn site cheaper to build a new factory there, with state of the art machinery, then it is to update our factory in Ohio. Even though it was the cheapest place in the US, it doesn't compare with costs in Mexico.
The bosses still live in the US, because the taxes are low, living standards are high and that's the best market to sell their Mexican manufactured good in. Of course they maintain a home there, bank there and spend a lot of money there.
And before you know it, you're relying on bankers in Wall Street to make enough money to keep the system going. But they don't give a fuck about the system. They run a casino where they're paid good money to place bets, win or lose they win.
Some of the bosses who can't move. Decide it's more profitable to hire cheap illegals for Mexico than employ Americans, so throw the Americans out and employ illegals. Because when Immigration turn up at their slaughter house, farm or sweat shop, they don't get fined.
Stop blaming each other America lived beyond it's means, it relied on casino owners and players to look after them. When the shit hit the fan, America found it was fucked, along with a lot of other countries who made the same mistakes.
Blaming the people who were put out of a job by the rich and powerful is just a lot easier than solving the problem.

Seeing as how other people ofter were the reason they were unemployed, don't you think they should be looked after?
Also they spend the money in local shops, do you see unemployed people driving new expensive imported cars, shopping in Rodeo Drive or going for holidays in the Bahamas? No they're shopping in Walmart, Ralphs for the necessities of life and eating in Macdonalds. Take the money away from them and what happens to those places and the workers, managers and delivery drivers? They go onto benefits.
Which have gone. So they come looking for where you live.
