Republicans deserve the blame because they tied the debt ceiling with spending cuts and refused to budge on it, threatening to destroy the world economy just so they could get their way.
Obama deserves the blame because he wimped out and gave in to them yet again. He should have taken advantage of the 14th Amendment and raised the debt ceiling himself as soon as the republicans started stirring up this shit.
They both deserve the blame because the credit rating downgrade is now nothing to do with the debt ceiling. Instead is has everything to do with stupid childishness on both sides to settle what should have been a very simple issue. Both the Dems and the Gop's have embarrassed the US in the eyes of the world. These 2 bozoz owe the world over 14 Trillion dollars and they can't even work together to solve what should be a simple problem. Total fucking bullshit.
Obama is all brains, but no brawn. He should have put a choke hold on Boehner the minute he asked to have the Bush tax cuts extended.
