We still have manufacturing in America, it's just not our main money maker.... but it's still here, it's still huge, it still out produces most countries.
Every major city in America has at least a dozen massive, empty, warehouse, manufacturing style buildings open. That's before taking over ones that are active, with equip that is needed.
Not all jobs will be in manufacturing either, we will need mining again, for those raw materials, something most countries can't do, but America can.
The difference between today and then, today we can produce it far faster, with far less people.
Our war machine 'right now', is larger than the next several countries added together.... let alone if you put a fire under our ass. It would take ww3, it would take many nations to stack up, all producing non-stop, to dream of matching what we already produce today, let alone during a war.
