With NATO planning to attack Syria (i.e. WWIII) and the Dollar about to collapse, we will really have something to protest about in the near future. This is why the riots are being incited now, to jusitfy either bringing in the military or a much tougher form of policing before the real protests come. When the Brits see WWIII is kicking off they will do their best to stop it and get their troops out, so the powerful interests that have planned the war are doing their best to make sure we can't intervene
