As someone who has lost a home to a fire (years back, due to an accident, not a crime) i can really feel for those people fired out of their houses. Losing a house must be the worst thing that can happen to you short of losing a loved one. I'm in two minds about this, it would make sense to shut down local twitter/facebook/ect access during times like we have seen in the last few days BUT the process is so open to govenmental abuse that it's really a difficult one to call.

Yeah all these riots have only helped in creating more of a "police" state and they are allready bringing in new powers. I know they dont want to shut them down permanently, only when there is social unrest but it is wide open to abuse just like we have seen with the newspapers, police and politicians.
These riots are going to change a lot of things over here and most of it for the worst. I think the goverment got a real wake up call that it is so easy for the people to bring down law and order and the government if they really wanted to and it has frightened the shit out of them
