FYI...and no offense meant....
An AR-15 with a 6" barrel is pretty useless if it's chambered in 5.56. With that short of a barrel, you lose a ton of velocity. You may want to consider changing it over to a 9mm.

They are all .223 yeah. I'm sure it do lose a lot of velocity. But it's small size and 45 round clip makes it the perfect home defense gun. And yeah no stock just a padded buffer tube.
Oh yeah I picked up one of those cheap 9mm carbines also. Very fun to shoot.
