Denis Leary has an old bit about this that's pretty hilarious. He's talking about what animals are socially acceptable to eat and from what I remember it went something like:
"And what are you?"
"An Otter"
"And what do you do?"
"I do stupid cute little human tricks with my hands and swim around on my back."
"You're free to go."
"And what are you?"
"I'm a cow"
"Get on the fucking bus, NEXT"
