Wordpress Question: Multiple Instances On A Single Domain? Or Is There A Better Option?
Can anyone help here, and maybe confirm (or suggest) a plan of action?
I have a WP "Tube" blog sitting stagnant. I got bored with it, never finished it, haven't updated it in months. Maybe years. It makes a few bucks every month so I don't really want to strike it.
I have another Asian themed project I want to put on that domain - preferably in a seperate folder or subdomain.
Would it be better to install another copy of WP in the new subdomain (or folder); or enable multi-user functionality and just run it all from one frontend?
I've used WPMU and BuddyPress in the past (older versions), and did NOT have much fun getting them working to my satisfaction (I ain't Harvey or Fris...). I'm leaning towards installing a new WP instance, but if multi-user has improved a lot over the past few years I might try that route.
Suggestions?
P.S. Scrapping it and starting fresh sounds better now that I've typed things out, but I really don't want the new project on the domain root, so I still have the same problem.
