China will persue a policy of "empire", and, like all empires: ascend, peak, decline and fall.
The smartest country is the one that is most self-contained, unencumbered with mutual defense treaties, technologically savvy, has their birthrates under control, and spending the money to educate and maintain the health of their populations.
I'd suspect maybe somewhere in Scandinavia, maybe.....
