There's going to be a huge influx of Cambodians, Laotians, Vietnamese and Burmese over the next 4 years when Thailand joins the ASEAN economic area.
Thaksin is likely to return sparking more protests and violence.
King is on his deathbed, he won't last 3 more years.
It's probable that the country will fall into a military dictatorship again and with the lack of a reputable figure heading the country you'll see a wave of nationalism that will have a detrimental affect on the foreign population.
I love Thailand but the next 10 years will be a test for the country.
