How to watch Netflix (Watch Instantly) in Linux
Other Methods Other methods that DON'T work (as of 5/10/2011)
To paraphrase; " Render unto Gates the things that are Gates' " (Just pay the stinkers off).
For me it is easier to dual boot into Win7 than screw around with Virtual Machines. I am just not that much of a purist.
- There are some tax/accounting software that will not run under wine.
- I need an easy way to access our encrypted SIP server.
- While I do all my memos and other work in opensource; txt, csv, xhtml, pdf, the vast majority of office personnel use the Windows platform ? most Win MIME types have a LINUX program to read and edit them when necessary. However, I have the alternative of a native Windows method available.
A VM would accomplish the same I just went the "fast and dirty approach." "Git 'er done and move on"
- Yahoo! Chat has voice and cam in Winblows ? I met a hot redhead RN last night nearby (hehehe) >:=)).
A VM might be a solution but the new comp that has the dual boot is a 3rd comp in my office so its not a critical unit (to be active with server daemons running at all times).
Overall, Windows 7 is stable maybe but slow as syrup ... It's the latest model Yugo with eye candy add ons. For a commercial, secure setup I wouldn't recommend it if you have the technical abilities for LINUX.
The Windows advantage is point and click ease and therein, without going into elaboration, are its shortcomings also ...
