I am not trying to hurt your feelings. It was just an interesting observation and seeming contradiction to me. Either you are really great and the industry in general recognizes that or not. Rather than doing things to position yourself as the best and as the expert (posting incredible and technically challenging designs, tutorials on page layout, headlines, conversions, effective copy, graphics vs text in design, controlled studies and so on) you are begging for approval.
Just struck me as being a bit odd in the broader sense. Not anything about you in particular although you often come off as being quite cocky and seem to offer little to justify it.
