My point i guess was that you had to post a combination of a "plea" as you put it, followed up by an oversized sales pitch to try to close people in the idea that you are the best.
"The Best" is something that is often self evident or else the perception created in the minds of potential customers as the result of careful positioning and consistent branding/marketing. It's a perception of quality. That is not something that can be created with cheap sales copy, particularly when you have unmotivated and apathetic buyers. All you've done is made an argument and made one with no real relevant context. No design samples. No testimonials. No improved conversions etc.
Its just a random claim that has no real instant credibility in the mind of the reader. Furthermore, its a claim that others are making as well which again takes away from the credibility of any one particular claim of being "the best".
