Six weeks before running, one candidate said it would be totally irresponsible for him to run for president because he had only a couple months of relevant experience and "I believe you should know what you're doing when you apply for a job." Even though he told us he was completely unqualified for the job and shouldn't run, we elected Obama anyway.

Even the more educated among us, the small business owners, more often than not base our political choices on what's suggested on Comedy Central. The big issue is the economy. How many of us have spent an hour or two learning about economics? I bet fewer than one percent can even name the two major branches of economics. Rather we just go with whatever MSNBC or Fox News says. It's no wonder we elect congresspeople 95% of whom can't pass a high school economics test either.
