I also see added value for social features offered as add-on for GFY. Maybe the current social feature within GFY are not used because they are too hidden.
A social GFY including current forum board will offer much more for all community members.
At this moment for the last 2 days I'm busy with
fckbk.com which is a social script and if the GFY forum has an API your can interface/integrate both.
If not its always possible make a custom API and skin, so the look/feel will be in GFY brand.
