How to make nice thumbs from video.
1. Select a nice frame with your video editor with no motion blur and save as original raw size with least compression.
2. Open in photo shop and adjust brightness & contrast (if needed).
3. resize image in photoshop to desired thumbsize.
4. in photo shop use filter/sharpen/sharpen edges (this is most important step)
5. save for web (jpeg high optimized quality 60)
Follow these steps in this order and you too can have nice looking thumbs.
