Obviously Facebook is approaching par with Google because Zuckerberg is creating his own walled platform that many people now see as the extent of the Internet, however to say that just because more people with the Alexa toolbar viewed Facebook over Google on one day is hardly news or earth shattering.
Facebook is the biggest single application on the net, of course lots of people use it. We know that without Alexa issuing a press release.

Of course Alexa is not 100% Accurate, But even if it doesn't calculate all the data from those methods you've just mention for Google then it's not doing it for Facebook either. Imagine how many of these smart phones have FB apps...
Basically it's still somewhat surprising because Facebook shouldn't be beating Google in any graph what-so-ever. Everybody doesn't have a fb page, but damn near everybody uses Google.
