That part I just quoted of you can be applied to EVERY industry.
Not only EVERY industry...but some that are VERY important: Cops cover each other's asses when they make fatal mistakes, hospital staff cover each other's asses when they make fatal mistakes, etc.
People keeping quiet about some things isn't really anything out of the ordinary. And a girl burning her leg on a hot vehicle? Happens everyday in real life. Was there stupidity involved. Hell yes...SHE should have stopped and went to the drug store and got some neosporin and a bandage. Total cost: under $10
I've burned myself similarly probably a hundred times over my lifetime working on classic cars. I never needed a "skin graft" or "medical attention" or lost work because of it.
Obviously the shooter showed stupidity by not realizing what this whole thing could turn into. But honestly...most people don't think to themselves that somebody is going to try and make a money grab off of something like this.
Here's what I take from it: People shooting should always keep in mind that in this day and age people bring lawsuits every time they stub their toe. It sucks, but that's the way it is.
And for the rest of us...I know it's fun to keep heckling Manwin. But if the mainstream press and people like AHF sink their teeth into this it will hurt ALL of us.
The last thing I need is to be told by the govt. that I have to do all kind of ridiculous and expensive things (insurance, medical gear, etc.) just to pick up a camera and film two people having sex.
