Just curious, if you don't live in the ghetto, what do you think happened? Why was your car targeted? Just trying to sift through the mixed messages.

Ok Shelly.
I think I live in an area where unemployment is very high. Animosity is even higher. Displays of affluence are seen as taboo. When you're on the road, people will glare at you. Some people will flip you off. Some people will yell things like "douche". All you have to do is have your windows down. Nice cars are seen as the luxuries of rich people, and rich people are seen as the reason why people don't have jobs. The perception is that rich people caused the economic collapse, and now we're sipping our fine alcohols while smoking Cuban cigars and living in the lap of luxury. We don't have to work hard, and everything we have has been given to us on a silver platter.
The attitude is "Us against them".
They see a Porsche sitting on the street and they think; "I'm here eatin' out of a fuckin' trash can, I just lost my home, I can't afford to pay my rent, and this motha' fukka thinks he's all that and a bag of potato chips with that flashy car... he just tryin' to make all us look bad. They's only one way anyone can afford a car like that, and dat's by lyin' cheatin' and stealin'. And if I can't buy a car like that... I ain't gonna let nobody have a car like that without it havin' my lil signature on the side... I'm gonna teach that motha fukka a lesson about greed... I'm gonna fuck that car up..."
Honestly, I have no idea why it was targeted.

All I can do is put up a better security camera.
