Some water, some cat food, his favorite toilet, and some peace. You can test it also a little by stroking him on the head. When he/she starts purring, it is pretty much good news
All my cats are farm cats, so they pretty survive World War 3 also if needed.

Excellent post. You dont know what that means. I am gonna see if I can get a lttle purr out of him.
This cat is more like a dog. He waits for me and welcomes me home at the car always. He folows me if I go for a walk. He literally will go for a walk and follow me.
He was starving one summer night in 2000. Someone gave him to my neighbors who had a cat who would not let him eat. (and they would not put out a seperate bowl) I noticed him hanging around. Seen him walking around looking for somewhere to go. Gave him a can of tuna one night at about 2am. Gone in 10 seconds.
That was that.

I was his man after that.
Gave my neighbors $30 for him.
He loves the outdoors. But now that he is older he isnt too tough anymore. Winter takes care of all problems. But for about 5 months in the summer he runs.
He lives for being outdoors.
He was also sprayed by a SKUNK 3 times! In 2004, 2006, 2008.
That is a story too.
So he has pushed the envelope for a long time.
