Sorry to hear, my mom is a care taker and one of her first cases was a 30 year old girl she looked after for almost 10 years. When she first started she was starting to have more bad days than good days and by the time she was done she had to be put on a facility because she was no longer functional. My mom still visits her to this day and before she got so advanced she spent every single day she could doing the most with her days (as you seem to do).
