The issue here is you don't practice what you preach... you never have.
Anyway, I run a couple fun product sites with my kids. More by luck, we got two sales (one person, purchased two products) at amazon, on a page only linked in our sitemap, we earned $1.12. I then showed them how the person and others, found the page, the stats in amazon, etc.
His response was perfect, he gets up to leave, I ask, what are you doing? he said, "Getting my phone to call people and tell them about my website so I make more money."
Of course he was talking about his play phone, but he understood exactly what to do, his logic was solid.
He never thought about making the page better, or maybe we could have sold the other 3 people and made money (yes in mainstream not everyone buys too), he got the message clean and clear... more people = more money.
Why is it that a 7 year old gets it but you keep missing the bigger picture?
