So what
could of been done?
Well some things were so obvious and it beggars belief others didn't pick it up.
Many offline companies came into online. The list is huge. Few came over 100% Like me they used online as another level to their business. From Hustler to guys shooting shooting content. They could get extra income from online porn they were getting from offline porn.
Site owners or shooters could of sold their content to magazines or DVD companies. None did or weren't able to.
I'm sure many designers or programmers went into mainstream to not do so was limiting their market.
Generally was there more coming in from offline porn than from online into offline?
A lot of sites made a
big feature of a single girl. Few could afford to employ girls exclusive like companies like Wicked and Vivid could. Which is a big fail. Robbie, SGS and others will tell you how well it works. Yet few did it.
No multi girl site did it properly and that's crazy. They just kept adding more and more girls, just piling it up.
And the Internet is the perfect medium for having girls under contract to work on the site full time. The girls are there to talk to members, do live shows for many, do them 1-1. The possibilities are there to utilize the instant access of the Internet and take it beyond a place to down load videos.
And it's easy. Members like a girl, vote for her, talk to the shooter to see if she's right for the job, get her in to do some test days. If she's good sign her up.
Surfers hit the site and see a great girl whose unique and exclusive to the site. Better than that, she's going to be online in a few hours time to see for the price of a membership. Suddenly it's not just her, there's a couple more in the site. And the CC is out on this site rather than another one. Maybe more would sign for online porn with this model. Doesn't matter to the site owner,
more sign up to his site.
So why wasn't this done?
Cost of a girl working full time for a site I suspect is the main reason. The big talk everyone loves to spout, isn't backed up in the real world. A girl would cost around $4,000 a month. $10 profit a sign up = 400 sign ups or retained members. Just over 13 a day.
How many more surfers would join this site rather than another?
How many affiliates would rather send traffic to this site rather than another?
What if the site, which has to be big not the usual Ma & Pa operation. Cuts down on a scene a day, so rather than adding 3 - 5 scenes a day they add 2-4? They have enough content already and now they have a real live girl. The scene can be recorded and added to the site at little cost.
To me, if my business was paysites and we were the size we were in 2005/6 it would of been a no brainer, assuming we could find English speaking girls in 2005 and we approached a few sponsors to do live scenes as a feed.
Content production is our game, not paysites. Before you shoot down this entire post on that last sentence. Tell us why you wouldn't send traffic to a site with live girls on or why you wouldn't do it if your main business is or was paysites?
Today recorded porn is free everywhere and easier and better than buying. Yet we still all seem to be stuck trying to sell recorded porn. Where's the adaptation?
