I've only recommended a few sites that I really believe in, I don't like to spam any old junk. The referred webmaster sales are starting to make a difference now, I will eventually put it all into a webmaster page and set some goals.
If I were to promote a program I'd need to believe in it and I'd need to be seeing a decent conversion ratio come in. I like to give credit where it's due
If there's a program that everyone already knows about, even if it's good, I won't normally bother, it would have to be something not yet well known
