Exactly.
In the UK, MMA is still very much on the fringe and still referred to as cage fighting. And as you say, they weren't even doing MMA, just submission wrestling. I know in the Uk that young boys are allowed to fight in amateur boxing and kickboxing contests, so this moral hoohaa is really over the top.
There's an infamous video of a tubby young boy, probably about 14, being pounded into the ground in a real (amateur) mma bout in America (by an top level adult MMA fighter - Ben Rothwell) with Jeremy Horn acting as the referee. You can even hear people in the crowd saying how disgusting it was.
